At the 114th Annual New York International Auto Show, the North American debut of the McLaren 650S is awaiting, but the company announced pricing early to the debuts and the cars are now available at their Canadian and United States dealers. The McLaren 650S is available in convertible and coupe forms, both featuring luxury accommodations and blistering performance packages. Some thrilling features of the car are as follows: using a carbon-fiber monocoque passenger cell along with carbon-fiber body panels and a lightweight aluminum framing, the car is among the lightest, yet strongest, in its class. Unique is the fantastic thrill of engaging monstrous Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires of the McLaren 650S with the pavement, enabling the car to take just 2.9 seconds to accelerate from zero to 60 mph.
In just 10.5 seconds, the 650S is able to sprint the quarter-mile. Braking is just sure and quick, with carbon-ceramic discs with forged aluminum hubs. Sitting in the car is just amazing. With excellent performance features it provides a pure joy of comfortable ride. The cabin of the McLaren is fully-trimmed in carbon-fiber and Alcantara. Optionally available are the carbon-fiber racing seats. Some convenience features abound, for example the electric steering column, both auto-retracting and adjustable for easy entry and exit. Standard features of the car are SIRIUS satellite radio, IRIS satellite navigation along Bluetooth connectivity, Smartphone wireless tethering, rear-view camera, streaming audio and voice command.
North American pricing is revealed by the McLaren ahead of the debut of the McLaren 650S during the 2014 New York International Auto Show at an off-site location. The McLaren 650S Coupé is announced to start at $265,500 while the McLaren 650S Spider a bit higher, at $280,225 in the United States. Canadian pricing is $287,000 for the McLaren 650S Coupé and $305,500 for the Spider. All fifteen North American dealers have the McLaren 650S available for sale.
